“Everything we consume has the potential to affect our mood and mental health. Anything difficult to digest may drain energy from the body, organs, and mind.”
Matt M. Eccles
1- Dry Meat
Eating undercooked and dry meat can significantly weaken your digestion because it is more difficult for your body to digest and absorb. Consuming dry meat can deplete your energy, and cause indigestion, bloating, low mood, brain fog, and depression.
2- Low-quality bread (Refined Carbs)
I have another video about this subject. Many people are unaware that the bread they consume has a negative impact on their digestive system, mental health, and even longevity. Eating low-quality bread can be bad for your mental health because it saps your energy and puts strain on your organs.
3- Low-quality dairy (too much)
Excess dairy products, such as cheese and butter, can trigger depression in sensitive people. I conducted an experiment on people of various body types who had mild depression, and I discovered that certain dairy products may aggravate depressive symptoms.
4- Foods containing additives
All of these food additives can have negative effects on our health and digestion, as well as cause brain fog and depressive disorders.
5- Oily greasy foods (Trans Fats & Hydrogenated Oils)
If you ask me what I dislike the most and think will cause the most harm and discomfort, I’d have to say oily foods and butter. If you want to avoid indigestion and mood swings, avoid oily foods and those that contain a lot of oil, fat, butter, or additives.
6- High sugar foods
Too much sugar can be bad for your health. It may lead to depression, mood swings, and indigestion. Consuming a lot of ultra-processed foods high in sugar, fat, and additives may raise your risk of depression and brain health.
7- Food contains preservatives.
One of my previous experiments was to see if food preservatives cause or trigger depression. Furthermore, I can confirm from my own experiences with digestion and depression that food preservatives can harm our mental health by causing depression, increasing our susceptibility to anxiety, and preventing us from feeling and looking our best.
8- Foods that you may be allergic to
Researchers are already aware that food allergies can cause inflammation. They are now discovering that eating these foods while allergic to them raises cortisol levels in the brain.
An increase in this hormone may make a person feel more depressed. As a result, I believe that if people are exposed to these allergies on a regular basis, they will weaken their immune systems and organs. Eating allergic foods can reduce vitality and cause depression in some people.
9- Deli and processed meats
Processed meats like bacon, deli meat, and hot dogs can cause depression due to additives and inflammation. If you care about your health and don’t want to deal with chronic illnesses in the future, always go for natural meat.
10- Excess junk food (unnatural foods)
Consuming artificially sweetened, ultra-processed foods has been linked to depression. Junk food is one of the reasons why depression rates are increasing. I believe that all of these junk foods deplete our vitality and are a major contributor to most people’s health problems.
If you want to get rid of depression, improve your sleep quality, and live a happy life without suffering, you should avoid these foods.
